Cypress Pop Warner offers flag football for ages 5-6 and tackle football for ages 7-15, depending on weight. The age is the participant's age on July 31 of this calendar year. Weight is as of the OEC certification date. Certifications usually occur between August 15th and the 25th. There are no weight restrictions for the flag division.
There are no tryouts for any division and participants are placed on teams on a first-come, first-served basis as space permits.
Cypress Pop Warner is not part of Cypress Parks and Recreation, and participation is not limited to Cypress residents.
Age & Weight Chart Tackle football players are placed in divisions based on the Pop Warner Little Scholars age and weight requirements. The age is the participant's age on July 31 of this calendar year.
